Description
We’ll take you on an adrenalin-surging adventure experience in the heart of the world’s Great White Shark mecca that will leave you in awe of these gliding torpedoes of power.
Designed to accommodate both divers and non-divers, you can be assured of safety and a once in a lifetime experience.
No dive is ever the same, so we can never predict what will happen once we are on site nor how many sharks we will see. Great Whites are incredibly nomadic and if you consider that there are less than 5000 of them left on our planet, even if you only see 1 shark on your dive, you can count yourself very fortunate.
Itinerary
We collect you from Cape Town and drive you to our home base in Kleinbaai. On arrival at our Dive Lodge in Kleinbaai, the day will begin with a tasty continental breakfast and a safety briefing on current sightings, indemnities, wet suits and equipment.
Our crew will then welcome you on board our custom built 36ft, 4 tonne catamaran, “Shark Team”. Although she has a passenger capacity of 36, we limit passenger numbers to 20, offering a more intimate experience and providing greater comfort and increased viewing capability. You will be accompanied by our intrepid skippers, a Dive Master and support crew.
Once we’ve reached our diving location and dropped anchor, our crew will create a scent trail, while you patiently await your electrifying first glimpse of the iconic fin breaking the water’s surface.
Back on deck you will be able to observe shark activity which occurs close to the water surface. Lunch boxes containing a variety snacks will be on hand for you to enjoy at leisure, with soft drinks and juices offering added refreshment while you bask under South Africa’s legendary sunny skies.
After about 3 hours out at sea, you will be ready to return to shore where comforting soup awaits you, giving you a chance to regroup and share the day’s experiences before being driven back to your meeting point.

Was really impressed with White shark projects. Firstly about how clients were treated before, during and after the viewing. Tom and Grant as well as the rest of the crew were sincere and genuine. Unfortunately we did not see a Great White but this is explained before hand that nature is simply nature and they dont have control over what shows up. We were very well informed during our experience and did get to witness copper sharks which was awesome enough. Would recommend and do it again (making use of motion sickness tablets is a good idea).
An incredible experience with White Shark projects. All the personnel and crew were extremely friendly and professional. Thom, who was our Marine Biologist on board, did a brilliant job educating us on shark behaviour and clearing up all the myths concerning these creatures. I have a new found love for them and our 2 boys were ecstatic over this experience and viewing them within their natural environment. I highly recommend this as a bucket list number.
Amazing day out, worth every penny!
We did not see any great whites but it was still worth it, there were 6 bronze sharks around us the whole time. The cage is pretty small when 6 people are in it but not an issue. Highly recommend going if you are staying in or around Cape town!!
Lovely new extension with lots of showers and toilets. Great breakfast and scrumptious soup afterwards. The Sharks were the highlight great all round experience.
Nice staff who do all they can to make sure you get the shark encounter you are there for! If no white sharks they will find copper sharks for you to dive with. Great experience!
